ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT TRAMLINES 2019 - 30/06/2019



This year marks the eleventh year of Sheffield’s Tramlines Festival which is now just three weeks away and so here is everything you need to know about this years festival.

Taking place over the course of Friday 19th July, Saturday 20th July and Sunday 21st July, the festival will see a line-up of 70 music artists perform across four stages as it champions local talent and celebrates creativity within the city which hosts it.

With the festival also boasting a comedy stage, a pop-up cinema, an expanded family area and a range of food and drink stalls across the weekend, at £85 for a weekend ticket, there is no better value three-day festival in the country.

Tickets for the event range from weekend tickets to single day tickets.

Weekend tickets:

With regular weekend tickets having sold out, the only way to now get one is with a VIP upgrade which takes the price up to £135 for the full weekend BUT you will be able to experience the perks of VIP which are:

Queue jump - The VIP section has it's own entrance meaning that getting into the festival is much quicker than with a normal ticket.

Posh toilets - No queues for standard toilets as there is access to posher toilets in the VIP section.

VIP Bar(s) - Allowing you to get your drinks without a very large queue.

VIP seating area - A place to sit inbetween acts to escape the crowds and have a little relax either in the sun or in the shelter.

Day tickets:

Day tickets are no longer available for the Sunday of the festival, but they are still able to be bought for the Friday (£40) and the Saturday (£50) which will still allow you to see a vast amount of talent.

Entry times for the festival change across the weekend as on Friday the gates open at 3pm and the gates close at 8:30pm.

On both Saturday and Sunday, gates open at 12pm with the last queue entry being at 7:30pm as gates officially close at 8pm.

On each side of the festival there is an entry and exit point which are as follows:

East Gate
Hillsborough Park
Penistone Road
Sheffield
S6 2AN

West Gate
Hillsborough Park
Middlewood Road
Sheffield
S6 4HA

The festival request that paper tickets are on hand upon your arrival at the gate as they need to be scanned to get your festival wristband.

If you bring a bag, it must not be bigger than A4 and shall be thoroughly searched upon entry.

If day ticket or VIP day ticket holders leave the site, they are not permitted to re-enter the festival site. Weekend ticket holders are entitled to re-enter the festival up to 8pm.

There shall be cash points scattered across the festival site but there will be a charge for using these machines.

To bring:

·         Paper ticket.
·         ID.
·         Suncream, a hat or raincoat (depending on the weather).
·         A sealed non-alcoholic drink.

Not to bring:
·         Large bags.
·         Drugs.
·         Illegal substances.
·         Alcohol.
·         Cans.
·         Glass.
·         Food (baby food is permitted).
·         BBQs.
·         Gas stoves.
·         Table.
·         Chairs.
·         Gazebos.
·         Professional audio / visual recording equipment.
·         Firearms.
·         Fireworks.
·         Weapons of any sort.
·         Animals.
